Introduction
An overview of the Plone documentation provided in this folder
HumaniNet has been working with Plone for a little over a year now. When we began this project, we had three primary goals:
- Streamline our editorial process for information we share publicly and with field partners (Publishing)
- Share research notes, links, meeting minutes and other internal information (Intranet/file-sharing)
- Build a space to discuss and collaborate on projects, both internally and through joint efforts with partner organizations
If you would like to get an idea of what is involved in creating a site like this, our how we built this site page would be a good place to start. Other areas include:
- Our "lessons learned" documents: part one covers our experience with Plone 2.0.5 and part two covers Plone 2.1.x
- Evaluating Plone Products offers tips on researching add-on software for the Plone CMS
- The Our Workflows folder contains diagrams, explanations and downloads of the workflow that we've implemented in this Plone instance
- The How-tos folder includes instructions for specific customizations in Plone, and is intended to supplement the material available in the documentation section of plone.org.
- The Plone Resources folder has pointers to other sites and organizations that use and support Plone
